Fly Tying – Flies for Ovens River

Trip Description:

This is one of the highlight trips for the Club and is a must attend trip for all the family.  The Ovens River has fished really well for the last couple of years with the stocking in 2014 and the good recovery since the fires.  With the recent good rains the fishing is expected to be good.  There are numerous other tributaries that can be fished including Morses Creek, Buckland River and Buffalo River.

The weekend is also a great one for the family and the Club organises a few activities to bring everybody together.  A programme of events is below.

Flies:

Dry Flies - Stimulator, Elk Hair Caddis, Adams, PHD

Nymphs - Black and Brown Nymph, Copper John, PT Nymph

Wet Flies - Woolly Buggers black and green, Bag Fly
