Trip Description:
This is one of the highlight trips for the Club and is a must attend trip for all the family. The Ovens River has fished really well for the last couple of years. With the recent good rains the fishing is expected to be good. There are numerous other tributaries that can be fished including Morses Creek, Buckland River and Buffalo River.
The weekend is also a great one for the family and the Club organises a few activities to bring everybody together. A programme of events is below.

Dry Flies - Stimulator, Elk Hair Caddis, Adams, PHD
Nymphs - Black and Brown Nymph, Copper John, PT Nymph
Wet Flies - Woolly Buggers black and green, Bag Fly

1230 p.m. – Disorganised BBQ lunch – BYO everything – look for the flag
p.m. – Fishing and stream craft lesson

6 p.m. – Fireworks display – Bright Football Oval– This isn’t a Club event so check the signs in Bright
After dark – Movies on the Green
Sun 3rd Nov
a.m. – Fishing
1230 p.m. – Disorganised BBQ – BYO everything – same place as Sat
p.m. – Fishing
8:30 p.m. – Beer tasting – Large BBQ area – bring 6 of your new brew for all to taste. Note: the provision of Beez Neez or similar will result in ferocious and scathing attacks on your manhood.
Mon 4th Nov
a.m. – Fishing for the single (or soon to be single) and Bright Street market – Market is a great way to spend the morning with the kids, bargains are definitely available.
1230 p.m. – Organised Spit Roast Lunch – BYO bowl of salad, plates, eating irons and drinks and a sense of humour – Large BBQ area – Adults $5, kids free
p.m. – Fishing
After dark – Movies on the green - if demand exists
Tues 5th Nov
a.m. – Depart or fish on if you’re one of the lucky ones. Remember to drive safely; we want to see you next year.
