Trip Description:
The first trip of 2016 is to the Mitta Mitta River. The Mitta Mitta River is within the Murray Darling basin, located in the Victorian alpine district. The Mitta Pub is close at hand for those wanting a change from camp food and a cold ale.
The Club has secured two bush camping sites at the Mitta Mitta Caravan park (Magorra public park) and additional sitees will be available to teh these sites depending on numbers.
The river loops around the park providing easy access to the river. Other access points can be found from the Omeo highway and Dartmouth Rd. Close by is Snowy Ck, which can be access from teh Omeo Hwy and Banimbola Dam is another close option.
