Trip Description

The Steavenson River is an iconic river that flows through Marysville.  It provides a large number of opportunities for the angler, with easy access along its length.

Meeting Point

The Trip to Marysville will take about 1 1/2 hours if you go via Alexandra or Healesville.   If you don't have transport and would like to attend the trip, let the trip coordinator know so we can find you a lift.

We'll meet up at the Marysville bakery for coffees and beats.  If you don't have a partner for the day, we will link you up with someone for the two sessions.

After the morning session we'll meet at the Buxton Hotel for one of their famous burgers before going out for the afternoon session.

Your usual arsenal of summer dry flies such as termites, Red tags, beetle patterns, stimulators and duns will keep with plenty of choices.  Recent trips have seen a lot of hoppers so make sure you have some hopper patterns loaded.  If not just steal some from the John's fly box, he always packs extra.
