MATERIALS
HOOK: Daiichi 1120 #12 or Mustad signature C49S
THREAD: Orange
THORAX: Hot orange craft bead or sizzle bead & hot orange seals fur
TAIL: Dyed orange pheasant tail
RIB: Fine copper wire
BODY: Dyed orange pheasant tail
WING CASE: Pheasant tail fibres
TYING INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1. Place the bead on the hook and take it to the eye, secure it in place with a drop of superglue. Attach the thread and take it to the bend of the hook, tie in the tail fibres and the ribbing. When tying in the tail only the tips of the pheasant tail need be used as the butt end is used to form the body.

STEP 2. Wind the butts forward to form a slightly tapered body stopping at the point indicated. Now tie in another bunch of pheasant tail fibres these will form the wing case. Wind the ribbing on using about 3 open turns, once the ribbing has reached the point where the wing case has been tied in keep winding the ribbing on in close turns to form an under body of wire at the thorax this helps weight the fly.

STEP 3. Having completed that tie off the wire and apply a small amount of dubbing to the thread, dub a small thorax over the top of the wire, only use a small amount of dubbing.

STEP 4. bring wing case over the top and tie off, using a dubbing brush tease out some of the dubbed thorax, then apply a coat of varnish to the body and wing case.
