As we enter another exciting year for the club, I would like to welcome Joe Davies a new committee member on board and the carry over committee who during the past year did a cracker of a job.  By the time this newsletter is out we would have had our first committee meeting and will be discussing what we need to do to encourage members to use the club on Thursday nights. We are keen to have more guest speakers visit the club this year.  I will take this opportunity to also encourage member to come up to the club and spend some time with Bill Jones our casting pool and tap into Rob Baily’s knowledge of fly tying.

I would like to sincerely thank Roy Pollard for doing such a fantastic job putting together our newsletters for the last couple of years and Shaun Robinson who was instrumental in many ways keeping us in contact during Covid and keeping the web up to date.  Without a dedicated editor on the committee (yes, we are asking for someone to put their hands up).  Vittorio is going put our newsletter together and I encourage you all to write some articles so we can keep it going.  Don’t forget without member contributing we will not be able to keep you informed.

We now have our new foldout flier thanks to Tony Mizzi who did a fantastic job putting it together and arranging the printing. We will be distributing some out to our sponsors over the coming weeks, but if you know of a place

we can put some out on display please let a committee member know.

The committee is busy organising the Annual Dinner but at the time of writing this message we might have to change the date as the venue we normally go to is book out.  We will notify you all once we secure and confirm a date. We also have a Bunnings BBQ booked in for 17th September so we will be asking for your support on the day

Regards,
Alan Staton
